Hm... I've learned such interesting things. Worlds tangled together here, each one with different truths, different rules. I'm from from ten years in the past. When I left the material world behind, it was on the brink of destruction ( Read more... )

Of course I do.

The only unifying factor seems to be our predicament, unfortunately.

What makes you so sure?

It was not entirely luck that I managed to survive this long in this city. Even when it has been hardest to keep faith, I have, and I have only been rewarded.

Ha ha!

I meant sure that our worlds have no tie between them, not sure of the existence of a God. ♥

But that's a good question too, isn't it? You feel your own god is watching over you, even here?

My apologies. I am more used to receiving questions about the latter. It is simply speculation at this point, though it is strong speculation; if we as a group had any other unifying factors, I doubt there would be as much tension among some of the people here.

I am rather convinced of that, yes. I would ask if you felt the same, but I doubt you have been here long enough to form any strong opinions on the subject.

I think that God has secrets that he kept from his creations... all these other worlds are proof of that, aren't they?

I suppose you have a point. Though it is somewhat naive to assume that the world of one's origin is the only world if it contains people blessed with otherworldly abilities.

A hundred other worlds, a hundred other gods...

In all the time I was at God's side, he never mentioned any of it as a part of his plan...

"God works in mysterious ways" is a cliché and wholly unhelpful. Blasphemous as it may sound, perhaps His knowledge does not extend into other worlds. At least, not until His believers discover the worlds themselves. It is a perplexing situation, to be sure.

...

You think he never knew?

It is a possibility. Again, it sounds blasphemous, and I apologize if you do believe Him to be completely omniscient, but the Bible mentions very little about God's reign in a decimated and parasite-infested nexus.

A ravaged land could be right in the eye of god...

...

There are parts of Heaven that you would mistake for Hell...

I suppose that is also true. I certainly believed it to be forsaken when I first arrived, but my opinion has since changed.

Oh? If it is not too difficult for you to speak of, I must admit I am curious.

Angels are capable of everything that humans are capable of. Every evil and sin is acted out more violently because it's more strongly forbidden...

Heaven is full of misery and garbage, if you want to open up your eyes and look for it... The highest angels are weak and selfish. They only live to satisfy their desires and destroy one another so they can rise to the top...

If that is the case, I should consider myself fortunate I do not intend to die in this city.

If you wish to return, it would simply be a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. That is not a threat; that is a fact.
