About <*br> in a textarea box...

I was just wondering if anyone knew how to get rid of the <*br> in a text area? And instead of those there's regular line breaks? If you get what I mean? Like in the text boxes at this Star Wars Friending Meme right HERE.

I've made a friending meme box myself, that you can see behind the cut.
