Adding "Share This" to Community Posts in a Layout CSS?

Username of journal: Any Community
Layout Style: Smooth Sailing
Basic, Paid or Plus: Basic
Problem you are having: Trying to add 'share this' option to a post.

Hello!
Just trying to add a 'Share This' option to a Smooth Sailing layout for a community in specific, the 'Share This' code that I found at random works fine on a normal journal, but when put into the community test code- it doesn't work on the individual post.

Also, is there a way to put it on the main journal without having to click into the entry itself and click "Share this" on both a normal journal and a community?
IE: you go to yourname.livejournal.com or whatever, and all the entries come up (either a community and a journal), I'm looking to simply click 'Share This' somewhere beside it and inside it.

In the end run, I'm trying to share community AND journal posts to twitter, is I guess the easiest way to put it. Thank you again, and sorry if this has been answered, I assure you I went through things as best as my time online would allow.

The "Share This" code I found (I did NOT write this code myself, unfortunately I'm not savvy) is:
/Adding "Share This"/
img[src*="sharethis.gif"] {background: transparent url(http://i49.tinypic.com/ea2ueo.png) no-repeat; height: 8px; padding-left: 6px;
width: 0 !important; vertical-align: middle !important; margin: 0 auto; }

Once more, thank you for your time!

s2, help!!
