There is a rain cloud and a rainbow over my head.
I've been informed about these curses, so I should not be as concerned as I am about this.
and that rainbow is gaytastic,
happy and sad,
wtf?,
cursed,
roiben you're miserable,
affected,
this is madness,
rain,
rainbow,
rain rain go away

Roiben-- sorry. [Trying not to laugh.] Don't look so sad, I'll have to cheer you up.

[The trying-not-to-laugh just makes the rain fall a little harder.]

Sorry. But at least this curse isn't as bad as a lot of the others.
[Pounce! She had to cheer him up, after all.]

It is uncomfortable, having these things follow us around as if they were tails.
[Yes, Roiben's misery is QUITE amusing. srs face is srs.]
Perhaps we should do something about our moods. The rain is beginning to annoy me.

I don't think it's so bad.. Except it seems to change with mood. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if we were outside.
[She starts to grin at his suggestion - and perhaps the rainbow above her head brightens - she bites his pointed ear playfully.]
Like what? You need to cheer up.
Reply
[That's because you're always miserable, Roiben, gawd. The drizzle lessened more and he wiped his damp hair back, eye closing at the nip.]
Perhaps it will stop in due time.

You think so?
[She sounded a tad mischievous at that, or perhaps amused, murmuring against his ear. She squirmed up more comfortably against him on the bed and took the opportunity to nestle her face against his neck once his damp hair was out of the way.]

Yes, I do. See? [The cloud was still there, and a drop or two fell every few seconds, but nothing like before. A hand moved behind her neck, and a finger brushed against her ear a little.]
I suppose being here is a bit of a blessing, if you neglect the curses.

[Her voice was slightly muffled as her face was pressed against his neck, but it was obvious she was smiling, even with the slight sarcasm. That rainbow above her head must be glaringly bright, too. Her pointed ear wiggled a little and she placed a light kiss on his neck.]
I don't know if you could call the City a blessing.. but it's definitely a lot more bearable with the right people around.

It is a bit of a relief. From the courts, I mean. [srsly. KING OR NOT, HE DID NEED A BREAK. At least he was telling Kaye shit about it.]
Reply
[Kaye was glad he was telling her shit, too - she did wonder how happy he was taking care of the courts, but she understood it was an important responsibility to him. Considering the type of rulers the courts had before..]

[Yeah, he said it. Your growing on him, Kaye.]
However, why was there rain on you?
Reply
However, at his question she sobered up a little.]
I was just worrying a little. My boss is leaving this place tonight. He said he would come back, though. He also left the whole shop to me. [She didn't even know one could leave from this place on their own will.]

Question him. If he has knowledge of the way, then it would be beneficial to know in the future.
And you have said you would like to open your own coffee shop. Consider this as practice, perhaps?
Reply
[That was a relief, at least. Although she needed the experience, she didn't want him to be gone. Kaye starts to tremble a little from the dampness of her clothing and skin, but she doesn't seem to mind. It gives her an excuse to snuggle closer, at least.]
Mhm. You might like it too. Magical items, and not much iron, either.
Reply
Cold? [He plucked at her soggy clothing and lowered his head, pressing the tips of their noses together.] I suggest you change, unless I serve as your source of warmth.
