I've packed a change of clothes and it's time to move on

Okay, so I can barely contain my glee at how flipping gorgeous it is today. I want everyday to feel, smell and look like this... well, perhaps not, because then it wouldn't seem as spectacular. I'm hoping there are a good many fall days like this--it will make the transition back to Clark so much better.

Right now, I'm just sitting outside, listening to music, wearing capris and a cardigan and MEH, so good. So comfortable. I was a bit of a lazy ass this morning as I didn't get up until Elena came in and said Kim was here... at noon. WHOOPS! In all fairness, I had been up til 3AM reading old high school quotes to Elena and lolzing. And it had been the first time in FOREVER that I had such a good night's sleep. Like, it was cold enough for blankets. So I just threw on some clothes and my glasses (shock of shocks! Haven't worn these bad boys in forever. Alas, my contact had a tear so nothin' doin') and went down to meet her. We just chilled on the porch while the Eimert menagerie pleaded for our attention.

Then we went downtown so I could get lunch. We went to THOP and I got a greek salad. I think that's my last THOP nom of the season, haha. I remember how badly I was craving it at the end of last semester. So I ate, we chatted and then Kim dropped me off at home cuz she needs to get her computer looked it at. She's coming back in a bit to swim in the pool, but I don't think I will--it might be a bit to cold for me X].

It's been a good last week! I've spent too much money on various back-to-school things, but I think everything I got will be useful. I now have a fluffy, big throw that is so cozy. I can't wait to curl up in it and watch movies/tv in my down time at Clark :3

Monday, Jenny, Abby, Annie and I went to Putnam Pantry to make delicious sundaes. After, we went on a futile search for Mean Girls in the Stop&Shop and CVS. We eventually just gave up and went back to Jenny's to watch Little Miss Sunshine (<3) instead. After that, it was about midnight so we had to bid Jenny farewell as she was moving back to Cornell the next morning.

It's getting easier to say goodbye, which I like. Time flies by and I'll see everyone from home in no time. Particularly if I go back for the Topsfield Fair in October.

Tuesday, I went to Rockport with Annie-bo-bannie and it was lover-ly despite a decided lack of beach and waves. We missed the 1250 train and ended up having to wait two hours in Beverly for the next commuter, but we just got lunch and watched a gaggle of random teenagers march by the lil' resturaunt we were in... I really want to know what the hell they were doing. But we go to Rockport and chilled at a tiny, sea-weedy beach for awhile. We didn't swim, but we did get to overheard the most amusing and determined group pf little boys who were digging a system of tunnels in the sand. They had a leader. His name was Miles and, for the most part, he was simply a distant voice heard beneath their elaborate sand system.

Lady: You diggin' to China?
Second in Command to Miles: That's the idea.
Second in Command to Miles: [said matter-of-factly] No, you can't pass these lines. Miles is under there and if you walk over it, it might collapse and he could die.

After that, we went to the jetty/Bearskin neck and sat for awhile. It was beautiful and a musician was covering awesome bands (The Beatles, The Who, etc.) We had to get back to the station soon thereafter, though, so we popped in a candyshop to get CHOCOOOOOLATE and then stopped for a quick dinner. Then we popped into a Dunkin Donuts to use the bathroom, but it was for customer use only... so Annie bought an iced latte and was then a hyperactive loon. Lulz.

Yesterday was mellow and nice. Today I think will be the same. Tomorrow is STAPLES to get notebooks, highlighter and all that good stuff--I was thinking maybe getting into Boston for a bit but I'm not sure how likely that is. Here's hoping, though.

Saturday will be endless packing, I assume. Sunday I'll be leaving early, early, early, but I prefer that. I just want to get settled in as soon as possible and see people! :D

rockport, little miss sunshine, clark, boston, summer 2009, the weather is delicious
