Just watched the movie Once. It was short and sweet and terribly sad. The story is simple and the music is really lovely. It doesn't end the way you want it to, but, for me, that made it all the better. These two people who clearly care about one another go their separate ways. They served as catalysts to each other--to get their lives in order. Sure, they would have been wonderful together, but I guess some relationships are just brief stops on the way to... wherever the hell you're going. It just goes to show that a person does not have to be in your life for extended periods of time to change it profoundly.
