Danielle, what is up with this picture!? Are you TRYING to push me back into my Bright Star induced melancholy? Waah!!!! :( Here was me watching it the other night, "Oh I love this! Oh, this is so pretty. So, so pretty!...This is intense. So intense...." Then I cried.

Um, I KNOW RIGHT? I loved this movie so much when I saw it at the cinemas but I absolutely have not been able to bring myself to watch it again because of what it does to me. Someday. I really want to but... for now I'm just going to look at nice pictures of sisters in purple fields and pretend nothing bad happened.

ACK, yes, we need to discuss this over cheeseburgers. It was bad. So bad. I was so glad I watched it by myself so I didn't have to defend my choice of "a depressing movie" to anyone. haha. Because I really did love it, I love the acting, Fanny's family, and just...swooon! Where they rap on the walls to each other, or when they're walking behind the cute redheaded sister and every time she turns to look at them they freeze...Those are the parts I'm thinking about and trying to forget the ending. :-|

We definitely do need to discuss this. And, actually, this whole conversation is making me feel like watching it immediately. See? You've helped me overcome this obstacle!

Do you own it? Because if not I have it out from Quickflix if you want to borrow it and pop it in the mail when you're done. (It doesn't matter when you return it.) Ok, and maybe this is just another way to impatiently push a visit with you sooner rather than later. ;)

Elizabeth, you would LOVE this movie. In fact, you could have been a character in this movie. It's definitely one you should see.

Thanks gals, now I am really wanting to see it again as well, but in a more "intimate" environment where I can freely indulge in my emotions. (Though the manly woman beside me in the theater didn't seem to mind who saw and heard her sob.) Too bad we are all separated by large bodies of water, or we could have watched it together...

Poor Dania! No one answered you! I think they're talking about Bright Star, but I might be misreading. I've heard of it but know nothing about it.

PS There were some nice comments made about you on this post! Did you see them?

Yes, sorry, it's called Bright Star--it's about the poet Keats' romance. Very beautiful film, but very sad!! In case you couldn't gather that from my emo-ness!;)
