It was a good weekend...a great kick off for summer!!
Saturday night we went to eat at Logan's then we went to the movies. We saw "The Longest Yard". It was pretty funny. We saw several people at the theatre. Apparently eveyone thought that Saturday was a good night for the movies!
Sunday was a good day too! We had to get up early (well, that part wasn't so great but...) cuz Tay had to work at 8:15, but she ended up not having any kids so she didn't have to stay the whole time. I had told Donovan that I would get crawfish at some point this weekend and he had to work Friday and Saturday so we got a bunch on Sunday afternoon and he and Solice came over and ate! Solice was here on break from boot camp...he has to go back today :( We got his address so that we can send him some letters while he's gone. A boatload of other people showed up about the time we finished eating and hung out for the rest of the night. It was a fun...just like old times!! James did the 'crazy dance' he owed me!!! It was hilarious. And he and Kirk played darts while Jasmine played with her etch-a-sketch!! Billy, Streeter, Mouse, Larry and several others were there too...the old gang along with some extras. It was a good time! (Larry's eye looks terrible...looking at it just makes me mad all over again.)
Later that night it started raining so Tahala, Derik & Melanie played in the rain and played Animal Planet and caught frogs and toads!! All of a sudden the weather got really bad and the power went out...well, those knuckleheads are still standing outside in the pouring rain, lightening etc. I got them towels and made them come inside. I thought my dog was gonna have a heart attack. She is so scared of storms. She had to lay down beside me and put her head under my arm and she just whimpered and was breathing really hard. It was a long crazy night!
Yesterday was kinda lazy. We stayed at the house most of the day until I just had to go out to the store and run by the office for a little bit. Then Tay and Derik went and got movies from Movie Gallery and we just chilled in the house for the rest of the night.
Today is back to the grind :(. My co-worker is on vacation so I have to work the entire week. What a way to start the summer!
Morgan has drum lessons again on Wednesday. Donovan said he's doing well. Then he starts football workouts next week. It'll be a busy, hot summer for him! But Brittany Tillery promised that she and Lacy would keep him well hydrated on the field!!!
My friend Kathy is in court with her ex-(ass)husband again today. Say a prayer for her...she'll need it.
