hi, read your blog, must resist any brain chatter telling u that u can just have a few more. It truly sucks the big one getting off nicotine. I have been chewing the nicotine gum for 12 years now and ended up with high blood pressure at the young age of 53. It sucks the big one too. I have tried to stop only to have the brain chatter take over my resistance. The addiction makes you irrational, searching all pockets and purses for just one more piece of gum. I, too, am quitting as we speak. Went to work today, only had 2 pieces of gum, which i cut into 4 pieces each so it would last longer. Came home from work only to realize that my withdrawl was severe and needed two blankets and sleep to overcome it. Took a shower and promptly searched all pockets, laundry room, and whatever i could find for a few more pieces. Wish me luck, tomorrow is my day for no nicotine at all. 37 years of nicotine, I will miss it:( Oh the pleasure of a cigarette and oh the pain of the consequences of allowing it to take over my life. I am done with it ruling my life, how about u?
