Trying to reinhabit my lj

Status of play project : Doing a complete 180 on where the story was originally going.  I'm going back to the drawing board of writing scenes and just letting characters yap back and forth and see if I can suss out where the bones of this story are--other than around a family that takes the fun out of dysfunctional.  =P  Sans incest, it sounds like I'm on my way to becoming Sam Shepherd.

Status of employment:  Still looking.  Nordstroms never got back to me even after I called them and tried to find out what the hell is going on.  Eh, fuck them.  Interviewed to be a host at a comedy club/bar/restaraunt/night club thing--it's very versatile... and whoa, do they charge too much to play billiards.  Oh well!  It means people with money will be giving me tips.  I'll hear if I have a second interview by Friday (God, I hate waiting).  Going to pick up an application for my old Starbucks on Thursday...  Because I'm that desperate for cash.  >.<

Other:  Admissions meeting at 6pm tomorrow with a lovely fabulous sounding man named Paul.  Will drill him about financial aid like things.  I have a feeling I'll be also talking to my mother that night about how one goes about to do all this loan business on their own since my brother is currently fucking over their credit.  Yeah, he's a douche.

...I miss acting already... but I really need to finish my play.

Melanie headed back to Eugene this weekend for a family emergency.  Her cousin-in-law (She was married to her cousin, so that's the only term I can think of) who had a baby not to long ago--who's baby shower we were at merely two months ago--passed away.  From what Melanie had been told, it sounded like she had a seizure in the tub.  I can barely wrap my head around it.  I didn't know her that well to be fair but... she was only 24.  And now that poor baby is left in the care of his grandma (who sounds like a lovely woman, it's no offense to her) because his father is on parol (sp?) because he drank to much and hit his late wife.  Keep the family in your thoughts.  No mother should ever have to bury her child.
