My third year doing the 50 Book Challenge! After getting so close to 100 last year I almost upped it, but I don't want to give myself any more procrastination incentives. So 50 it is! Like last year, rereads are marked with an asterix.

As I've started the year with two of my favourite books, I feel it will be a good year for reading :)

My family is having fun building our postcard collection from Lara as part of her 'From Letterboxes To Shelterboxes' fundraiser. So far we have postcards from Sydney and Katoomba and we're looking forward to receiving lots more!

I often get songs stuck in my head or walk around the house singing snippets of various songs, but I seem to have had a higher number of different songs stuck more persistently in my head over the last week or so. Feel like I haven't posted here in ages, though I think it's actually only been about 2 weeks. But so much has been happening (including long bouts of doing nothing; that can very exhausting too!) that I keep losing track of the time.

I will be SO glad when this semester is over. It seems like everything is piling up on each other and just taking so ( ... )

...and Goldenlake fanfiction corrupts absolutely.

That might be overly dramatic, but I have a meeting with my honours supervisor tomorrow and with the friend I'm writing a major research paper with the next day and all I want to do is write more fic for the current MPP on Goldenlake. I had never even read Tamora Pierce fanfiction, let alone written ( ... )

I saw The Hunger Games film for the second time today (the first time was on opening night - I love nerding out for books :D) and so figured it was time to finally get around to posting a review for the film...as opposed to the long rambly comments I posted on Glake and q_sama's review! Maybe finally posting a review will also lessen my desire to read ( ... )

Calcifer likes to fancy himself as a great cat hunter. It's kinda like how Snoopy likes to pretend to be lots of different animals - except that Calcifer is a lot worse at being a cat hunter than Snoopy is at impressions! He's pretty good at chasing them if he sees them (mostly), but then he'll spend ages and ages chasing after their smell in the ( ... )
