Went to the Grey Museum today, and the exhibit chronicled arty in NYC from 1974-1984. Some cool stuff.
I guess I saw Musiq at Atlantic yesterday? Don't know who that is, so I wasn't terribly excited.
Hoping I catch up with some folk tonight. In the mood to get my drink on for sure.
Today there were two pigeons cuddling in Washington Square Park. I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me feel warm and fuzzy.
People always tie their dogs to trees and poles across the street from my building while they stop in the grocery store. It breaks my heart to hear them barking and look out my window at them standing there, so forlorn, while hundreds of people walk right on past, barely giving them a glance. Today one of the dogs had a cone around his neck. I wanted to cry. Forunately, so far the owners have always returned. I don't know what I'll do if one doesn't, since I can't bring animals in the building.
I miss my dogs.
New Yorkers really aren't fazed by anything. Yesterday some man was going car to car on the subway telling people to give themselves to Jesus, and no one gavce him half a glance. I guess it's a defense mechanism though so that he doesn't bother you specifically, just like how you're supposed to avoid eye contact if you pass a sketchball on the street.
TOday on the subway three guys breakdanced for spare change. Now, breakdancing on a moving subway train--complete with backflips--is pretty impressive (although annoying since it takes up so much room and I almost got kicked) but people couldn't care less.
I can't wait until I feel confident that I'm not going the wrong way every time I step on the subway.
I want to go to a concert soon.
