Wow...due to an unexpected, unprecedented quickness in turnaround time for my initial background check, the federal government has cleared me to start work earlier than anticipated. New job people called yesterday morning and asked if I want to start new job this Wednesday or Thursday instead of next week. The earlier the better, says I...so I agreed. I spent much of yesterday filling out new-hire paperwork. I start tomorrow.
It's going to be strange actually going to a day job somewhere. This is the first time in my life I've ever had "normal" 9 to 5 type employment. Hopefully it doesn't bother me too much.
