Bad Insurance!...No Cookie. A Rant.

Okay, not so bad insurance...NOW. After a week and a half of arguing with my insurance company and the local Emergency Room about a bill that is from something that happened almost an entire YEAR ago! Remember when I found out I'm deathly allergic to Flaxseed by eating some and finding myself unable to breathe? Yeah...A year, and I just now got the bill? WTF? I knew medical bills and insurance things take some time sometimes but c'mon!
But the kicker is to find out that the insurance company swore that they couldn't cover much if any of a bill that was well over 1,000. I argued with them for a week and a half and threatened to get a lawyer to read the insurance policy and file a proper grievance because it clearly states (as clearly as any insurance policy does) that Emergency Room fees are included in my basic medical coverage.
Now I get a letter in the mail that I only owe them around $56.00. Hmmm, how funny that it came to me really quickly this time huh? *snort* *rolls eyes*
At least now without this looming over my head I can pay a couple of bills I've been putting off and do some nice things for friends that I've been desperately trying to get around to.
