I'm all old now!

The sting of turning thirty was mitigated by successfully turning the dining room floor into a functional curling rink. We used winter squash for the curling stones, and Pledged the hardwood floors until they were treacherously slippery. The fumes nearly asphyxiated us all. Gretchen and Justin marked out the rink with painter's tape, and the teams were so well matched we had to go into extra ends! Best party ever.

Ben and I are thinking of starting a living room curling league.

I am sad the Olympics are over. But I'm wearing my new Torino birthday shirt!

ETA: the house still smells strongly of furniture polish.
