Hey, remember that whole "tell me something to blog about" meme thing from a few months back?
Well I have one more question! I received this one last and when I got to it
lambofcurl101th was in Africa (!) and it felt rude to do it then. So I saved it. :)
Favorite Disney prince and why.
In my opinion the boundaries of who counts as a prince/princess are kind of hard to draw...like, is Pocahontas a princess? If so, she doesn't have a prince, right? Because we're talking about their status at the end of the movies, otherwise Cinderella wouldn't be counted as a princess. Anyway.
So the options are:
1) Prince Charming (Cinderella). He doesn't have another name, right? lol
2) Snow White's dude. I'm pretty sure he never even gets a name, but he's hot so it's ok.
3) Eric (The Little Mermaid). He kind of has a personality, so that's cool.
4) Aladdin is a prince at the end, so he counts.
5) Phillip (Sleeping Beauty). I can't believe I just had to google his name, this is one of two Disney movies I own and I've seen it a million times. Anyway.
6) The Beast (Beauty and the Beast). He doesn't have another name either? Silly Disney.
That's all I could think of, although it's completely possible I'm forgetting someone.*
I have to say my favorite is Phillip. Aside from Aladdin and the Beast (and I'm not crazy about either of them), he's probably the one that we get to see the most of, and he's great. There is the whole sneaking-up-on-Aurora-in-the-woods thing, but it's kind of endearing, right? (
7:55...he's such a dork! <3) But there is the whole dragon-slaying thing. That's pretty great. He is willing to stand up to his father in a way to marry the girl he wants to marry, he doesn't care about the fact that she's poor (except not, oops) and he can sing! Also, he's beautiful. Just look at him. :P
This is more because of Maleficent (who is AMAZING) than Phillip, but I've always loved this scene. Like I said, I've watched this movie a million times, and I remember watching this part when I was younger and thinking this is so intense. And really...damn.

*Not including Simba, because although I adore him, I don't think he qualifies (as a non-human and all). Plus, he's THE LION KING at the end of the movie, so technically not a prince. Also, I haven't seen Princess and the Frog, so whatever prince/male is in that was not included.
:)
