Harry Potter Survey!

Stolen from bugbeary

I talk about all seven books, so SPOILERS and all that. Although if you haven't read them all by now, you can't really blame me. But if that's the case you shouldn't be on LJ anyway, GO READ THEM. Really. lol

01. If you went to Hogwarts, which house would you be sorted in? Hufflepuff, no question. I used to think I was a Ravenclaw but then I took this amazing quiz (here it is!) that said I was a Hufflepuff. So I thought about it, and it fits better. I'm fair and loyal and hardworking and trustworthy and all that. :)

02. Have you ever been to a Harry Potter midnight release? Once! I went with a few friends for Deathly Hallows, when I was a HUGE HUGE HUGE obsessed fan - maybe I'll write about that sometime, hah. It wasn't that great; I went to Borders and not much of interest was going on. I did make a shirt though, I wrote a bunch of quotes on a T shirt in sharpie. :D

03. What did you think of Deathly Hallows? I LOVED IT and I still do. It's absolutely fantastic. <33

04. How many times have you reread the books? Mmm...I've usually picked them up one at a time, so I can't say exactly, but I would estimate maybe three times each? Possibly four?

05. Whose death was the saddest? For me? Dumbledore's, definitely. I didn't realize how much I loved him until he was gone. :(

06. If you went to Hogwarts, would you rather have a pet owl, cat, or rat? Well I'm a huge cat person, but it seems stupid to get a cat when you could have an owl to deliver your mail for you, so I would go with an owl.

07. What did you think of the movie Half-Blood Prince? I watched it once in the theater and haven't seen it since...but I really liked it! When I watch the films I have to take a MASSIVE step back and just watch them and have fun. Otherwise I get caught up in all the details and the horrible tragedy of tiny details changed or plots left out or, worst of all, character distortions. I try to think of the films as entertaining, but different from the books, which are amazing.

08. What do you think of Deathly Hallows being split in half? Yes yes yes. I think it's kind of weird (especially now that Breaking Dawn, the last Twilight, is being split too. Boo.) but the more HP the better! And I don't think they could do it justice in 2-3 hours anyway.

09. Have you read The Tales of Beedle the Bard? Yes. They're adorable, and JKR is brilliant.

10. When did you first become a Harry Potter fan? I read the first one when I was eight. It's hard to determine when I got really hooked because I was a voracious reader at that time...

Favorites

Female Character? Hermione, but I also like Luna, Ginny and Tonks (basically everyone I'm supposed to like, haha.)
Male Character? Harry. I love him. <333
Professor? Lupin; I love him too! And he's a fantastic teacher. But McGonagall is badass in her own way, lol. Also, I always kind of liked Trelawney. She's funny. :P
Death Eater? At first I was thinking of actual DEs but this has to go to Umbridge. She is TERRIFYING. In an amazing kind of way. I'm not a fan of DEs though.
Magical Creature? I like hippogriffs. :)
Spell? Wingardium Leviosa! (only for the Ron/Hermione moment in PS/SS, haha.) Or Expecto Patronum, because that's just really cool.
Quote? Ok I have a million, but here's a classic: "Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?" And one more: "If I were a Death Eater, I would have been sure to research my own jam preferences before impersonating myself."
Book? Deathly Hallows. <3
Hogwarts House? Well I have to go with Hufflepuff because it is made of awesome, but Gryffindor is cool too.
Place? Hogwarts!
Weasley? ...I kind of love Percy, but only because he's adorable. But as far as people who I actually like, it would be Ron and Ginny.
Couple? Ron/Hermione and Harry/Ginny. (I like them both, ok?!)

This or That

Gryffindor or Slytherin? Gryffindor.
Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff? Hufflepuff!
Fred or George? I never noticed the difference between them until Fred died...George, I guess, but they're both great.
Ginny or Luna? Bugbeary's anti-Ginny sentiments are confusing my true feelings! lol but Luna's adorable, so we'll go with her for now.
Butterbeer or Firewhiskey? Butterbeer. I'm not sure why Firewhiskey made an appearance in DH...
Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley? Hogsmeade.
Books or Movies? BOOKS times a million.
Half-Blood Prince or Deathly Hallows? Deathly Hallows.
Sorcerer’s Stone or Chamber of Secrets? Sorcerer's Stone. It's adorable, especially when you've read 'em all and look back to see how everybody used to be awww. <3
Snape or Slughorn? Snape. I can't stand Slughorn.
Lupin or Sirius? Lupin! (You know, this is kind of like the Edward/Jacob thing, isn't it? Except the werewolf is the other one, and HP is completely out of Twilight's league. Moving on.)
Harry/Ginny or Harry/Hermione? Harry/Ginny, definitely. Harry/Hermione would be BORING. Also, Voldemort ships them. (locket horcrux, yeah.) haha
Lavender Brown or Parvati Patil? Parvati. She seems to have some kind of integrity.
Seamus Finnigan or Dean Thomas? Dean! He was awesome in DH especially.
Kreacher or Dobby? ...they both annoyed me, lol. I guess Dobby, he's kind of cute.
Muggleborn or Pureblood? Is this which I would rather be? Pureblood -  it's much less confusing, and your family isn't secretly jealous of you.
Dan Radcliffe or Rupert Grint? Rupert. <3
Bellatrix Lestrange or Narcissa Malfoy? I don't like either. At all.
Voldemort or Tom Riddle? Tom Riddle creeps me the freak outttt, so we'll go with Voldemort.
Hedwig or Crookshanks? Hedwig. (May she rest in peace. <3)

Wellll that was fun. :)

Also: I'm cleaning out my flist soon; comment if we don't talk much and you want to stay (see a couple entries back for more info).
