Fair food is so worth the calories.

Adam and I went to the Shippensburg Fair last night for dinner and some general nosing around. It was a decent time, except for the hour long downpour. We took cover in a tent that had fireplaces for sale...so needless to say, we learned an awful lot about wood fireplaces, gas fireplaces, and pellet stoves. :-p It actually was kind of cool though, because we're considering getting a pellet stove for the living room.

I also found out that I can do a wedding registry with Pampered Chef. That is fantastic, seeing as how I love to cook, and their stuff makes cooking so much easier/more fun! I am all sorts of excited about that!

Annddd...even though I had *just* posted yesterday about how I need to watch my food intake better--I ate all sorts of yummy fair food. I had a crab cake sandwich, sweet potatoe fries, a chocolate milkshake with Girl Scout cookies crumbled up in it, and then Adam and I split a funnel cake. Was all of it horrific for me? Yes. But was it delightful and worth every single calorie? Yes again. :-D The thing that impressed me the most about this fair was that they didn't have any "food on wheels"--i.e. trailors that carnis bring in and sell food out of. It was all local made by local groups (yes, even the funnel cakes)--fire departments, Girl/Boy Scout troops, the local all-sports boosters, etc. The one stand even had chicken-n-waffles. *drools*

Anyway, this post was going to be much wittier/have much more of a point, but I seem to have run out of wittiness and points for the day. And its only 9:20 am. Yikes.

In other news: the final walk through of our house is tonight! Pending we don't find anything crazy there (the sellers didn't punch any holes in walls or anything like that), tomorrow at Noon Adam and I will be homeowners!!! :-D
