The summer night is like a perfection of thought.
I applied for a job at TV Guide. If I get the job, Dan gets a $500 referral fee.
We found an apartment that might work for us -- it's a one bedroom with a den (which would be perfect as an office). It's got hardwood floors, a washer and dryer in every unit and if I get this job, we'll be able to afford it.
We really need this, so any luck or mojo or prayers or even well-intentioned thoughts would be appreciated.

P.S. -- I miss summer. I miss going out in flip flops and frocks. I miss the twilight scent of barbecue, clean laundry and gardenias. I miss Arnold Palmers clinking with ice. I miss grilled vegetables, driving with the windows down and the music loud and sun-splashed days that shimmy into star-kissed nights. I can't wait until the weather gets warm again.
