Quickie
I spun up the rest of the roving that came with Kevin's drop spindle today and it actually looks like yarn! Woo! Slightly uneven, but only slightly, and somewhere between DK and fingerweight. *is proud* It actually looks a lot better than the skein I spun on the wheel at S&S. We also made a decision about a wheel, and will theoretically be ordering one in the next couple weeks. It's an Ashford Kiwi. I'm pretty excited about it. :) It comes as a kit and unfinished, so we also get the adventure of assembling a spinning wheel. I'm seriously considering painting something fun and spinny on the wheel...
Ethan's in serious tantrum mode lately. Like screamed inconsolably for over an hour today, for no discernible reason. Toddler = awesome. *sigh* I'm still holding out hope that since the terrible twos started so early they'll be ending about the time he turns 2...right?
Kevin made burgers for dinner tonight, and tomorrow we're having milkshakes in our new BlendTec blender! His parents may be slightly crazy, but they sure do pick out good birthday gifts.
Colin was alert and happy most of today, which would have been more fun if I hadn't spent most of the day dealing with Ethan's tantrums. It's still nice to see him smiling and laughing and really paying attention to us. He and Ethan had a very involved babble conversation tonight which very nearly ended in me dying of cute overload. I'm pretty sure having kids was the craziest decision I ever made, but maybe in a good way. :)
