Real update
Ok to explain on that last entry...
I've been on a search for my next internship since I left the CMA. I was interested in Universal South Artists, a small management company under the Universal South label. The company is less than a year old and manages Marty Stuart and Shooter Jennings (as well as a couple other lesser knowns). While in New York, Ryan practically set up an internship for me with Capitol Records' Publicity department. Capitol has the mother of all artist rosters: Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, Jamie O'Neal, Chris Cagle, Kenny Rogers, and several others.
I've always loved management. It has always been my first passion, but I have developed a recent interest in publicity.
The call from Universal came yesterday morning, and the call from Capitol came last evening. Management or publicity? Marty Stuart or Keith Urban? Two album releases or one?

I think I will go back to Capitol in the summer during all of the music festivals, in particular the CMA Fest. Ok, now that my monumental and huge decision is out of the way...
I got my grades back and those are miracles if I have ever seen one. While Sociology isn't in yet, I have managed to wrangle 2 As and 2 B+s. Don't know how. I skipped so much class, barely paid attention, and did homework at the last possible moment. I really gave the system a big screw. I'm expecting a B in sociology, the class in which I put forth the least effort. When I did go to that class, I was practically in a coma. I just have to keep pulling this shit off for two more semesters.

Well, Jacob is on his way into town, so I guess I should go take a shower. I'm so excited to see him, and I'm even more excited to go home next Saturday even if it is for 2 days. But I'll be home for a week and a half at the beginning of January. I can't wait.
