Yes! Looking back, I don't even get it now. I mean, he was a cute kid, but...maybe I'm biased now because he didn't so much grow up to be a cute adult? :p
Of course, too, now that we're older, we don't see "attractive" so much as "kid" -- which doubtless colors things. (I haven't seen a recent picture of him, I think.)
I'm suddenly remembering having a huge crush on Christian Slater, though.
I think I missed out on Christian Slater. I never even saw Heathers until I was a lot older. I was definitely one of those Teen Bop/Tiger Beat kids, I'm only slightly ashamed to say. I loved the Lawrence brothers. :p
I'm trying to think back to shows I watched and I'm remembering Blossom and Full House, but I think I missed the Lawrence brothers thing anyway, haha. Jared Leto, though? My So-Called Life? Pretty, pretty eyes.
Yes! Jared Leto! No one on television since has leaned against things quite as well as Jordan Catalano.
I watched Boy Meets World, so that season where Rider Strong and Matthew Lawrence lived together was awesome. Though, I think that was at the tail end of my teen heartthrob years. :p And I'm having trouble remembering others, too. I know there were more! I was a Tiger Beat fiend! :p
OH OH, Boy Meets World -- Rider Strong was the friend of the main boy, or of the main boy's older brother? I'm totally forgetting names right now, but I remember thinking the older brother was supercute. Who was that??
Rider Strong was the friend, but the older brother was cute, too, yes! His name was Will something. Hang on. Freedle? Friedle? Friedel? Something like that! AND, I remember that he used to date Jennifer Love Hewitt. Why do I remember that??
Umm, she was JENNIFER LOVE FEFFERMAN and was only in the episode that was the "Scream" parody where they all talk about sex and it's hilarious. And then the murdered is obviously Sean (Rider Strong), because he can't deal with Corey and Topanga's break-up. Or there's the episode with Mr. Miyagi and Boris and Natasha and FLASH when Corey goes back in time. Or there's the one with "Adolescent Male Is Introduced to the Universe" and Eric's Shakespearean theater days and the lucky tiny tube socks. Or the one where Sean and Corey turn Mr. Feeny's house into a B&B.
Man. This is the show of my childhood. (I used to have an "Eric calls the voice in his head a different name" icon, but I lost it. Sadly.)
Yessss. I have seen that episode! They're in the library, right? AWESOME. They used to show Boy Meets World on Disney channel all the time, I wonder if they still do? Unlike pretty much all of the rest of those shows I watched as a kid, I still find reruns of BMW funny.
They DO still show it on the Disney channel, except it's kind of COMPLETELY WEIRD AND RANDOM. It's a block of four shows and it's, like, "Hannah Montana," "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody," "Phil of the Future," and "BOY MEETS WORLD." These are all shows that've premiered in the past three years and then "Boy Meets World," which began 15 YEARS AGO. I find it really weird.
(And in my defense, I only know the names of all these Disney channel shows because I have a little sister and she's obsessed with ALL OF THEM. Equally. It's weird.)
Anyway, yes, they're in the library for a little bit in the episode (I'm pretty sure it ends in the library--I know someone gets offed by a falling stack of books) and it's awesome.
