1. I went to Atlantic City with Racheal this weekend. ( Which actually means, I went to Ocean City, NJ, but stayed in AC. )

I do agree that there should have been a lot more of a "this is a bad thing" vibe about how they took out bucket-head, like sort of a low-scale version of using the atom bomb. It's a big deal, even if it's the only way (a friend of mine I saw it with, who is apparently more bloodthirsty than I thought she was, wanted to know why Beast didn't just stab him in the throat. Even a decent kick to the back of the head should have been able to knock him out).
All the "cured" mutants will get their powers back later, anyway, if/when they make more. Even if they have to resort to the plot-device machine from the first movie to do it.

Yeah, I don't think I would have minded the decision to do it if it didn't seem like the X-Men thought it was okay to do it to someone like Magneto. If there'd been even a little remorse or reluctance, maybe it wouldn't have bothered me so much. Well, probably it would have, but in a different way. :p

I was saying to Racheal that same exact thing, it'll be easy to give everyone back their powers. All that takes is one line of dialogue. Or hell, just show the "cure" wearing off. Obviously nothing needs to be explained in the movie. *coughDarkPhoenixcough*

Ummmm....... I'm not sure you stayed long enough, if you say that.

Oh, I definintely did. I *always* stay to the end of the credits. The end of X-Men proves why. ;)

You mean like a metal chess piece twitching?

Well, Magneto is awesome and that kind of thing would happen to him regardless, I think. I was thinking more along the lines of Rogue kissing her boyfriend and suddenly he starts being drained of all his life force and stuff. There'd be a nice bit of symmetry there.

Yes, he is, but he took, what, four doses of the stuff? That seems like it would be about even with most others taking one.
Also, the people over at IMDb have been having all kinds of fun ideas on when Rogue's powers could come back. Most of them...uncomfortable, at the least.

You'd be surprised. Man can't catch a baseball to save his life.
