Okay, seriously: if every time your roommate gets on the phone with his long-distance significant other, they're having a fight... wouldn't you want to eavesdrop? Ooh, I wanna listen SO badly! All I can hear is him repeatedly saying her name loudly, in an agitated tone. I KNOW he's mad at her, but I just can't quite hear why.
