so, for those of you who don't live in either Augusta or the surrounding area and don't have friends that live in Augusta or the surrounding area, you aren't aware of the plethora of gypsys that live around here. They seem to travel in packs and are most easily identified by their females, particularly the younger ones. These girls are seriously made-up to be beauty queens. Even the infants are adorned with vast amounts of blue eyeshadow and sparkling jewelry. They are generally irritants to anyone working in the restaurant industry, because a) they all like to order from the children's menu and b) they leave a massive amount of mess that I have to clean up when they leave.
Tonight, a girl at work decides to "break it down" for the rest of us: Gypys are also known as Irish Travelers (Yes. okay, I agree with you there). They are known as such because they come from Italy (ummm...wouldn't your logic make them Italian Travelers?). Well, they're both cities in France (really now? Ireland and Italy are cities in France. sure, why not?)And, they live in packs and look so similar because they're very incestual. (might I suggest the term incestuous?)
Hmmm....well thanks for "breaking it down" so simply for us. Incestual isn't even a word. Microsoft Word offers you the alternatives of "ancestral" and "intestinal" when you try to use it. According to her, Gypsys are originally from Italy, an Irish city in the country of France. Did I mention that she's trying to get into nursing school? Cause she is.
