Title:
Separate Ways (128 Beat Mix) [
Mirror]
Artist: Faye Wong
Album: Separate Ways
Language: Japanese
File Size: 5.82 MB
Type: Pop
Rating: A
Comments: Separate Ways is the theme song to some Japanese drama. Faye Wong sings a remix version of it and her Japanese is actually pretty nice, course it won't make much of a difference if you don't understand it. This song is kind of like a slow pop song yet it's not balladish. It's very soothing to listen to.
Title:
Cloud 9 [
Mirror]
Artist: Maaya Sakamoto
Album: Wolf's Rain OST 2
Language: Japanese
File Size: 4.60 MB
Type: Pop
Rating: A-
Comments: Cloud 9 is from the anime, Wolf's Rain. Maaya Sakamoto has sang quite a long of songs for different anime. Cloud 9 is a rather catchy song by her. It's not overly fast but it has a slow and even pace. There's nothing too special about it but it does have a rather nice melody.
Title:
You Can't Hide [
Mirror]
Artist: Sweetbox
Album:
AdagioLanguage: English
File Size: 4.36 MB
Type: Ballad
Rating: A-
Comments: Sweetbox's ballads aren't anything that great but they are really pretty, especially this one with the oboe playing in the background. It's rather slow though so some of you might find it to be boring. The oboe does add quite a nice touch.
Title:
Kiko [
Mirror]
Artist: 12 Girls Band
Album:
Shining EnergyLanguage: N/A
File Size: 9.38 MB
Type: Instrumental
Rating: A+
Comments: 12 Girls Band is a group of 12 Taiwanese girls who use traditional Chinese instruments to play their songs, giving it a unique yet elegant touch. If you've never heard traditional Chinese instruments before, you're really missing out. Kiko is one of my favorite 12 Girls songs. It's quite upbeat, kind of festival~ish in a way.
Title:
That Night [
Mirror]
Artist: Sweetbox
Album:
ClassifiedLanguage: English
File Size: 4.13 MB
Type: Pop
Rating: A+
Comments: S.H.E. did a cover of this song called 'Ai Ne'. Personally I like Sweetbox's version a bit better even though there is no difference besides lyrics. Sweetbox's lyrics are a bit weird though but that's normal for her songs. Sweetbox's pop type songs are always fun to listen to though.
Title:
Puraimari (Primary) [
Mirror]
Artist: RURUTIA
Album:
PuraimariLanguage: Japanese
File Size: 6.73 MB
Type: Pop/??
Rating: A+
Comments: I actually couldn't decide which RURUTIA song to upload. I think I've uploaded all of the others though. This is really one of my favorites, it just has an amazing orchestra playing in the background. The vocals of RURUTIA and the instruments tie together really well.
Title:
On My Way [
Mirror]
Artist: Cyndi Wang
Album:
Cyndi BeginLanguage: Chinese (Mandarin)
File Size: 3.79 MB
Type: Pop/Ballad
Rating: A-
Comments: The song starts off kind of slow but picks up about where the chorus starts. Cyndi Wang is probably most known for her really poppy type songs but her slower songs are just beautiful. This is just your typical pop/ballad type song, kind of sad in a way.
Title:
No. 1 [
Mirror]
Artist: BoA
Album:
ValentiLanguage: Japanese
File Size: 7.49 MB
Type: Pop/Ballad
Rating: A
Comments: BoA has come a long way since the earlier years when she started. No. 1 has always been one of my favorites songs by her. It's rather upbeat with a catchy tempo making it rather easy to sing and dance to.
Title:
Yume Ga Chikara (Dream Is Strength) [
Mirror]
Artist: KOKIA
Album:
Yume Ga ChikaraLanguage: Japanese
File Size: 3.86 MB
Type: Pop
Rating: A+
Comments: I just love this song by KOKIA. KOKIA has a very unique and powerful voice, making her songs really worth listening to. Yume Ga Chikara is a rather upbeat song by her. If you've never heard anything by KOKIA, this is a great song to start out with. Even if you aren't a big fan of KOKIA, this is one song that may just change your mind.
Title:
Winding Road [
Mirror]
Artist: w-inds.
Language: Japanese
File Size: 3.24 MB
Type: Pop
Rating: A-
Comments: What can I say, basically your typical Japanese boy band song. You can tell this is one of their earlier releases though since the main singer kind of has a bit of a whiny voice as I like to put it. w-inds. is great though and their songs are really fun, makes you want to get up and dance.
Title:
Sarang (Trance Edit) (Love (Trance Edit))[
Mirror]
Artist: As One
Language: Korean
File Size: 4.36 MB
Type: Pop/Trance
Rating: A+
Comments: As One mostly does ballad type songs but they have done a few trance versions of their songs which are just beyond good. If you like techno type songs, you'll really like this one. Sarang is a beauitful ballad to begin with. Add a few techno beats and kick the tempo up a bit and you get a song that you just can't stop listening to.
Title:
Dancing All Alone (Kimono Mix) [
Mirror]
Artist: SMiLE.dk
Language: English
File Size: 4.36 MB
Type: Pop/Eurodance
Rating: A
Comments: SMiLE.dk is mostly known for some songs that they did for DDR, like Butterfly. Basically if you like DDR type songs, you'll love SMiLE.dk and in my opinion, they do the best DDR type songs. Anyhow, the Kimono Mix of the song is pretty much the same as the original except they say 'Dancing all alone in my kimono' instead of just 'Dancing all alone...'.
Title:
Ten (Heaven) [
Mirror]
Artist: Tsukiko Amano
Album:
TenryuLanguage: Japanese
File Size: 4.46 MB
Type: Rock/Ballad
Rating: A+
Comments: I just love this song and I couldn't stop listening to it for the longest type. Although rock and ballad are two completely opposite genres, they work so well toghether. Most of this song is actually just instrumentals with some vocals provided Tsukiko Amano, like she's reading something. It's rather soothing yet it does have a gentle rock beat so it's not boring or anything. RECOMMENDED.
Title:
Lydia [
Mirror]
Artist: F.I.R.
Album:
Fei Er Yue TuanLanguage: Chinese (Mandarin)
File Size: 5.42 MB
Type: Rock/Ballad
Rating: A+
Comments: Hm, another song of the same genre. Lydia is the song that got many people attached to F.I.R. and it's also the main theme of a Taiwanese drama known as the Outsiders. It starts off kind of slow but turns into a powerful, moving song.
Title:
Kioku (Memory) [
Mirror]
Artist: Every Little Thing
Album: Kioku
Language: Japanese
File Size: 7.44 MB
Type: Pop/Rock
Rating: A-
Comments: I haven't listened to ELT in such a long time, it actually brings back memories. Kiwoku is a mildly tempoed pop song with a rock edge to it. It's rather upbeat but nothing too special about it.
Title:
Time Machine [
Mirror]
Artist: Lee Jung Hyun
Album: I Love Natural
Language: Korean
File Size: 3.99 MB
Type: Pop/Techno
Rating: A
Comments: Lee Jung Hyun always has rather upbeat/techno songs and she has a very distinguishable stype as well. Her voice actually sounds really nice in this one unlike some of her other songs which makes her voice sounds really weird, kind of screeching in a way.
Title:
Taimu Kapuseru (Time Capsule) [
Mirror]
Artist: Horie Yui
Album: Sky
Language: Japanese
File Size: 7.80 MB
Type: Pop
Rating: A-
Comments: Horie Yui is mostly known as an anime voice actress. She sings a lot of songs in the anime she does. Think your typical Japanese girl pop. She has a really cute voice that just make her songs adorable. If you like Hayashibara Megumi, you'll probably like her as well.
Title:
Ba Ai Fang Kai (Let Love Go) [
Mirror]
Artist: F.I.R.
Album:
Wu Xian (Unlimited)
Language: Chinese (Mandarin)
File Size: 6.94 MB
Type: Rock/Ballad
Rating: A
Comments: Off of F.I.R.'s latest album, I really like to think of this song as a sequal to 'Wo Men De Ai' off of F.I.R.'s album. Part of 'Wo Men De Ai' is actually played at the beginning of the song and she does say 'Wo Men De Ai' quite a lot throughout the song. Although they're two completely different songs, if you've heard of 'Wo Men De Ai', you'll notice some familiarities throughout the song. This is one of my favorite songs off of their new album, really worth trying out. If you like Lydia, you'll enjoy this one as well.
Title:
Nuo La In China [
Mirror]
Artist: Jang Nara
Language: Chinese (Mandarin)
File Size: 6.39 MB
Type: Pop
Rating: A
Comments: Nuo La In China is one of Jang Nara's Mandarin songs and she does a rather nice job singing in Chinese although you can easily make out her accent. Nuo La In China basically just describes her transaction from Korea to China. Even if you can't understand Chinese, you can get that from the one English line in the song, 'I'm pretty Korean girl but now I'm in China.' There's a random 'Konnichi Wa' thrown in there for some reason. Maybe she stopped by Japan on her way? Anyhow, Jang Nara did a rather nice job with this song.
Title:
Amazing Grace [
Mirror]
Artist: Tension
Language: Chinese (Mandarin)/English
File Size: 2.38 MB
Type: Ballad
Rating: A
Comments: I'm sure everyone has heard Amazing Grace before. This is just Tension's version of it, which has parts of it sung in Chinese. There are no instruments in it, just vocals and they do add a couple twists to the song here and there, giving a more unique and pop touch.
