So have yáll missed më? För sómë ódd rèäsóñ Ï'm püttíñg äccénts ön àll thë vówëls. Actually this is getting kinda boring. Since I havent really been informing you of my nice little life I'll give ya the schpeel of the last few months.
My first little story involves me and my cat. So my cats like 200 years old...actually only 17 but thats still pretty old for a cat. One day it comes home with a huge bump which we suspect is an abcess. We've been through the whole abcess thing before so we just wait it out and prepare ourselves with antibiotic ointment in case it pops or whatever, and it eventually does. SO it pops and we put the ointment on whenever we see the cat but eventually the cat dissappears. The cat doesnt come back for like a week so we figure, since cats have a habit of running off and dying somewhere else, that Sam is dead. This made me sad but at the same time I was kinda expecting it. At this point I'll digress into story #2.
About the time of the cat disappearance, my parents were hounding me about getting a job. They we're all like "If you dont have a job you cant go on the holden beach trip" The holden beach trip, by the way, is a trip with a bunch of college kids from my church. So I'm like alright whatever. There were two things keepin me from goin on the trip really...the first being the whole lack of job thing, and the second being that even if I got a job I'd be forced to give up the trip if I had to start the job any day during the trip. So the week leading up to the trip Im in panic mode. Finally I get an interview. It's for friday morning when I'm supposed to leave friday night. So I go to the interview, even though it wasnt really an interview, it was more of a "we're giving you the job, so here's what youre gonna be doing" type thingy, and I get the job. Then they call to tell me that before I can start working I have to have a pre-employment screening and they schedule it for the monday after I get back. So in one fell swoop both conditions of me staying home are obliterated and I start packing. At this point I'll lead right into story #3.
This story picks up the night after the interview. We left columbus about 11:00 that night. It was Dan (future roommate), Bob (future roommate, current brother), and me in the car. So we get goin south and we're followin the directions to the best of our ability and we're gettin it right. Right untill we get to west virginia that is. I think at that point I got mixed up in the directions and so we headed on state route 2 north...which was the road that the directions seemed to tell us to go on. So we get on that for about an hour and are like this isnt the road so I come up with the fabulous idea, after deducing where we were, of going east on state route 80 something untill we hit 77 which would take us all the way down to where we wanted to be. So we get on the 80-something and we're goin. Dan, not trusting me expertise in navigation pulls over in some back country bar where some drunk college boys were hanging around and Dan asks them for directions. Ya know what they said? They told him to keep goin on 80-something which runs straight into 77...so I was like "Dan I just told ya that but did ya listen to me? No." So we get back on our way and only get lost a few times after that. All the rest of the times we got lost wouldve been prevented if Dan had listened to me but Im not pointing fingers. The week at the beach was a blast. I lived in a house with like 10 guys and the other side of the house (we were in a double) were the girls from our group. It was a blast...I got to swim in the ocean, hang out with some of the coolest people ever, play a shitload of cards, crash a few parties and just chill like ganstas. The week went by fast so I took somepictures which might be on here in the coming weeks and I bought two shirts and a new hoodie which I needed since Krysti stole my previous hoodie. The ride home was pretty uneventful. We got home about 3 in the morning to find that my rents had also gone on vacation to wisconsin so I went from always having someone around to being alone for a whole weekend. Oh wells. Now its back to the first story.
So when we left for the beach the Cat had been gone for almost two weeks. WHen we got back from the beach there was still no sign of the cat. My brother, PJ, was home all that week and hadnt seen the cat. So at this point I'm over the cat's death. A few days passed and the cats death is becoming less of a big deal. SO about monday afternoon Im on the phone with the hospital and PJ comes in and says "hey Pat go check out whats on the porch" So I get off the phone and go out on the porch and there's Sam. However, Sam's abcess was not there but it was replaced with a shaved area and someone had sutured up the wound left by the abcess. Now the details arent clear in exactly where the cat was during all this time but here's what I think happened: someone picked up the cat off the street after seeing the bad shape it was in and decided to take it to the vet. The vet then fixed up the cat and gave it back to the guy assuming that the cat was the guys pet, not knowing that the cat wasnt his pet. The guy then made off with the cat and took it home with him to his wife and kids. They all thought he was a stray but it was really the guy plans to keep the cat for himself, so the bad man locked Sam up in the basement and fed him generic cat food- that bastard! Obsessed with his evil plan to steal Sam, the man forgets that he was toasting a bagel, which jammed the toaster and caused the automatic turn-off to not work, and the ensuing flames caught the kitchen cabinets ablaze. The fire caused a thick smoke which knocked out his entire family, which he loved. Luckily the basement door was busted open when a beam broke through it. Sam walked through the burning house and realized he had a choice. He could leave the man who locked him in the basement and leave him to his fate, or he could pull them out and risk being locked up. He knew what he had to do and before long he had dragged the entire family out of the house to safety, even the bad man. The daughter then woke up and started screaming for her doll, and Sam rushed into the house to retrieve it, but shortly after the house collapse under the heat of the blaze. Unbeknownst to the family but the cat sensed he was in danger and bolted out of the back door just in time. He then head home in the rain which washed all the smoke and ash out of his fur. He then arrived back at home to his real family and back to name brand cat food. THE END
Well I guess that's enough story for tonite. Goodnight everybody.
