speculation: kaito and the current suspects

Oct 26, 2007 01:46

Here's a quick warning about everything behind the cut - there are a few pics, to assist me, and there's also spoilers up to 2x05 not to mention a whole freaking lot of my own speculation about, well, things similar to my post the other day, heh.

Also, a lot of geeking out over character motivation and superpowers so, be warned, KO?

So, Kaito's ( Read more... )

Eeeee! Visual aids!

and you are so selling me on this theory. Which is doubly awesome because it makes Kensei and bad guy and we all know how I feel about the 'bad guys' on this show!!!!

I hope I'm right because, OMFG, Hayden+Anders=death by the sheer level of pretty that would grace out screens and, OMFG, the sheer level of blonde brilliance, and, OMFG....

You know, if Kensei ends up being nothing?

If, like, I'm completely wrong on every possible level?

I'll probably, like, keel over dead, =P

You are my Hero, for putting all that thought into it and making a sound and structured argument.

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant.

I really think that, at the least, I'm on the same level in my thought processes - out of every theory I've given thought to, and every one I've heard for a while, this is the only one that fits everything we've so far, you know?

Plus, it would give us the biggest level of drama, no?

Hey! I basically agree with your theory, but have you considered the possibility that Kensei and the (allegedly) late Mr. Petrelli would be the same person? I know there is no solid evidence about it, it is just that the way in which Mr. Petrelli's head is turned so we can't really see his fac in the picture ofthe groups of the 12... I don't know, I just feel there is something fishy about it.

Heh, that's what I first thought when I saw the composite picture, and then dismissed it for several reasons - one, if he could heal the way Claire does, one, would he learn how to make himself age? Mr. Petrelli, the guy from WB, is dark-haired and blue-eyed, and while Kensei has blue eyes, Kensei's much blonder than even young!Linderman, who at least looks a little bit like Kensei. It could be make-up, of course, but still, it doesn't fit together. Plus, in WB, when Petrelli and Linderman first met, Linderman healed him right when he was starting to go - and then completely freaked when Linderman did it ( ... )

BTW, isn't there anyone in Hollywood that can do good Photoshop? Because, my god, that composite was Bad! They should have request assistance from the paire pic manipulators, and they would have gotten a better result.

As I said, I know the comics are suppose to be canonical, but it's frankly quite easy for me to see Kring and Co. going back on their word on that. Which wouldn't be that much of a problem, as it also would make 'Celtic Knot' (the Caitlin/Peter one) non-canon and I would have to feel the taste of vomit in my mouth everytime I remember Peter's release of power by shouting her name.

Ugh, my stomach!

Oh, my god, thank you... gyah, Heroes, gyah!

but it's frankly quite easy for me to see Kring and Co. going back on their word on that.It would very easy to do it and I could easily see them do it, but I think it would sadden me a bit, biggest reason being how I feel about sidepieces like the comics - if you're going to go out of your way to say that these sidepieces are canon, then you have no right to turn around and say, no, wait, never mind! Soaps and comics do it all the time (and can make fun of themselves for it, one of the reasons they're my two favorite medias) but still, this is a television series and television audiences, as a whole, are a bit more snooty than your average fandom geek, you know? More than that, as much as I'd like a few of those comics to become nothing (like that one I don't even want to think about because, um, ew), it would be like stabbing the "purists" of the fandom in the back, at least to a certain extent. I'm not even a purist, since some of those people ( ... )
