YOU UNDERSTAND

lol, I don't watch Once Upon A Time but I've seen gifsets on my dash that make me want to Youtube the clips. However, this is probably a very bad idea.

And that black center is FUCKING PETER PAN AND WENDY.
Intro post tbh. I'm convinced 99% of my personal damage derives from this story.

I throw black parades of doom and angst when people compare Amy/11 to Peter/Wendy. Because they think they are making a comparison to a fairy tale, but they are actually making a case for how truly fucked up both pairs are.
RIGHT? :') :') :')

re: Ichabod, ditto. I can't DISLIKE him but as a character he's become beyond useless to me.

I have no idea what to tell you re: Heirs. There are some scenes I think you should totally look up, but maybe best to avoid overall, yeah.

HOW COULD I FORGET BLAIR + SERENA. lol no, I know why, it's because I usually block that show from my mind. But sometimes I forget not hating everything about it...

DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD I RESTRAINED MYSELF FROM PUTTING ALL OF THE RPF ON THIS. Not just Sungyeol/Woohyun, but WOOHYUN/SUNGGYU OTL. /buries self in pillows

(the Buffy/Faith section warmed my soul, really it did. there should be a Buffy revolution centered on the ladies)

I've seen gifsets on my dash that make me want to Youtube the clips.
Don't do it.

[[Spoilers]]:: in 2013 Peter Pan has baby-Wendy locked in a cage and he pulls her out occasionally to "play games" (aka: trick other, dim-witted children into trusting Pan because he loves poor, sick, dying Wendy soooo much) he never let her grow up - and meanwhile John and Michael are growing up (slowly? they are adults anyway) doing his dirty work so that they can stop him from killing her. He never lets her grow up and he never lets her leave. All the fucked up everything I love it so much.

I'm convinced 99% of my personal damage derives from this story.
When I was a kid, Bluebeard was my secret fave and I always attributed a lot of my damage to that (because: worst) until very recently, when Peter Pan seemingly came back into my life... ((but seriously what kid likes the story where the child-bride watches her brothers kill her serial killer husband the best?))

re: Ichabod, ditto. I can't DISLIKE him but as a character he's become beyond useless to me.
His man!pain is starting to piss me off in light of all else that there is to work with.

Also - where the hell is my shopping montage and Ichabod in skinny jeans? Like seriously get your acts together.

but maybe best to avoid overall
I love my happy little AU place of Heirs and I've decided it's best if I don't leave. (Is there a Ki-ae/Stella reunion?! Because that's something I need like breathing)

HOW COULD I FORGET BLAIR + SERENA
I find it shameful, honestly.

I also wanted to suggest Taylor/Summer - but I guess they aren't really fucked-up enough for this meme.

I wish more people were watching Hart of Dixie, because the bromances between the ladies are some of the best I've seen. I think you'd get a kick out of Lemon/Zoe's mutual hate/love. They are adorable with their "I hate you more!" and their "no one is allowed to pick on her but me" and their "NO ONE UNDERSTANDS ME BUT YOU" and their "go away NO BUT REALLY I NEED YOU DON'T LEAVE but if you stay I will be bitter" and the occasional "I see you are suffering, so here is a witty retort but I'm totally going to pull your ass out of the fire if I see that you need help later" it's basically the most precious show in the universe. Also Lemon/the Universe.

(excuse my Lemon feelings)

How do we make the women-centric Buffy revolution happen.

trololol I never actually read Bluebeard but that sounds like a jam tbh.

Also - where the hell is my shopping montage and Ichabod in skinny jeans? Like seriously get your acts together.
I can co-sign this.

re: Heirs, there is a certain reunion indeed. You may want to google it.

I have too many shows to watch, excuse you. FALALALALALA YOU WILL NOT TEMPT ME.

That's literally all there is. Wendy gets an episode in S2 (set before she meets Peter) and then has about 10min of screentime in S3. She's depressingly underused.

Bluebeard Is the one about the wealthy man who marries a super young girl and before leaving on business gives her a set of keys to the house. But she isn't allowed to use one key that opens a special door. So he leaves. And then the minx opens the door - to find the bodies of all his dead wives. The key bleeds and he's all set to kill her when she sees her brothers (7 I think) on their horses coming to kill him and save her. Basically the best fairy tale of all time.

FALALALALALA YOU WILL NOT TEMPT ME.

MEET LEMON BREELAND:::

(I will convert the world it is so heartbreaking that this show is so unloved by my friends.)

O.o Well, what have I been doing all my life.

Oh, fuck your gifspam and cunning manipulation ploy. DO I LOOK LIKE I NEED ANOTHER CHARACTER TO RUIN MY LIFE?

O.o Well, what have I been doing all my life.
I'm not even sure. Bluebeard's wife (always unnamed) is superior in every way.

I wrote Elena as Bluebeard's wife in this piece last year (which you read, but may have more of an impact now that you know the story) and am still in love with it.

Also - Angela Carter's The Bloody Chamber is by and far the best modern adaptation of Bluebeard to exist ever ever ever. (plus she's boss)

DO I LOOK LIKE I NEED ANOTHER CHARACTER TO RUIN MY LIFE?
Yes, actually.

Because I neglected her hats:::

Also her everything:

I'm pretty sure her existence proves that there is a divine power somewhere.

Hart of Dixie is like what Mystic Falls could be... without vampires... and once everyone is in their early-30's and realizing that there's no such thing as a fairy tale. Lemon Breeland is the Caroline Forbes of her Southern town - only all grown up and having to deal with the possibility that she can be more than a Southern-Belle if she wants to. Which is really, really hard. And so she cries a lot. And she schemes. And she's still HBIC no matter how many times her town sees her fall.

Basically she is perfect. And yes, you need her in your life, ruining everything and being flawless.

HOW COULD I FORGET ELENA AS BLUEBEARD'S WIFE. OH, ELENA. :____;

I'm a huge Angela Carter fan but have somehow never read The Bloody Chamber. Must rectify. TY for the link!
