ah! accidentally tonight's the night when i'm forcing my mom to watch 10 things i hate about you with me. \o/ the whole list actually is A+ (MULAN IS EVERYTHING).

also the other day i was also thinking about the fucked up shit i was drawn to during childhood/teenage years, concluding that my today's self was bound to happen. my favorite books growing up included one from the pov of a child with an incompetent yet sympathetic tattooed mother (which is when my interest in tattoos started and for a while i totally wanted to get some of the designs the mother has in the future), one from the pov of a child with a brother that is compared to a demon (i identified both with the girl and the brother), and one about two young adult sisters whose remaining parent, their incompetent father, dies at the beginning of the book.

and my all time favorite things, six feet under, angels in america, and the hours (the book mostly), which are all about DEATH IS SCARY!! LIFE IS SCARY!!, were also established in my early teens. can anyone wonder why my ( ... )

what are the names of these books you're referring to?? i'm pretty sure i'm familiar with one or two.

can anyone wonder why my mind seeks gloom and despair tbh. their hand fits in mine like it's made just for me, but bear this in mind, it was meant to be. never change, broski.
