The Old Town is the heart of Spain capital where Puerto del Sol will catch our eye. Spanish has a great tradition - on the Christmas night they gather here altogether and while the clock strikes, they are eating 12 grapes and drinking red wine.
Walking down Calle Mayor very soon appears rectangular square called Piozza Mayor, surrounded with marvelous houses built even in the 17th century. Since years it has been the center of city social life with celebrations and festivals.
Not so far from Calle Mayor you can find yourself on the square called Plaza de Villa - the center of medieval Madrid.
Surely, we ca not leave the city without going to its main attraction, - to the largest art museum in the world - The Prado Museum that contains great arts of European artists of many centuries.
If you still have time, you ought to go in the suburb, 50 kilometers far from the capital, to the famous Escorial, country palace of Fillip The Second.
The capital of Spain is so attractive and charming that it makes tourists come back here over and over again. Madrid - is a city of contrasts, bright colors and unforgettable atmosphere that pleases people with its great storm of energy.
