Once again I have seemingly forgotten about this journal. That's not entirely true, my life has just been boring lately and, unlike a lot of people, I don't enjoy posting mundane details about my life. For some people, journals are just a place to name-drop and list a bunch of crap that you did the previous day to make yourself seem cooler than you actually are. "omg yesterday I hung out with Nathan and he called Sarah and we went to the movies with Michael and Craig and Jeffrey and Michael#2 and Montel and then we hung out at Wal-Mart with Chris and Terry and Billy and Thomas and Kenny before we went back to my house and got drunk LOL." Hey. Shut up, please. It IS your journal and you can write whatever you want, but it's a real bitch to comb through paragraphs crammed full of ignorance in an attempt to find out if anything even remotely interesting has happened to you recently. What can I say, I've been really busy lately and I've sucked at keeping in touch with people.
George Carlin makes some of the most thought-provoking political rants I have ever heard.

"It's called the American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe it." Brilliant.
From another interview:
"Power does what it wants. And now they're just more naked about it. Now they just put it right out front and say 'This is what we are doing to you, folks.' This country is finished. It's been sliding down hill a long time and everyone has a cell phone that makes pancakes, so they don't want to rock the boat. They don't want to make any trouble. The people have been bought off by gizmos and toys in this country, and no one questions things anymore."
Also, it's way too hot. The end.
