Love/hate wind...

When I got up this morning I totally hated the wind. Between that and the rain, I got maybe a scattered 4 hours of sleep. I was up about every 40 minutes or so from 11:30pm-5:30am. Needless to say, I was not happy about getting up for school.

I ran around packing my riding gear (forgot to do it last night), printing out a CD update, eating a piece of toast, throwing a uniform on, and grabbing my school bag. I made it to the bus stop about 10 minutes before the bus was supposed to come. So I sit at the stop, and I sit, and I sit. Finally, a full 10 minutes after scheduled time, the bus pulls in. Alex (other kid who rides the bus) and I run to it, trying not to get blown over in the 60+ MPH wind. We climb the steps only to be told by the bus driver that there's no school today because we have no power.

I run back through the puddles that already soaked my sneakers (wet socks, not fun) and toss myself back in the car and head home. I'm just sad because I don't have a lesson today because, well, there's no school. Instead I get to go get an allergy shot. But the toss-up is that I can probably hit the library today and pick up a copy of Obsession, the new Jonathan Kellerman book I keep meaning to buy. It's only a 7 Day Express, so my hold won't go through. I almost picked it up Saturday, but daddy was earlier to get me, so I didn't have time to stop and grab it. So, if I stop by after shots, I'll pick it up. And then I'll be back on Tuesday 'cause it's Lit Mag day and I ride the bus home with Marlene. Heheheheh.....

Well, I'm off to work on Coldest Degree! I'm hoping to have the first draft finished by Saturday at the latest, so I'm going to try and write 2-4 chapters today since I've got the time. I still have pre-calc to do, but that can wait.
