Today was splendid.
My spanish teacher told me in class today that I really had a knack for speaking spanish. She started asking me questions in spanish that I'm quite certain she would not have asked any other classmates. It made me feel really good and validated when she said that. It ignited a passion in me that everything I am doing is right. Sometimes I get this glistening feeling like a ray of light is shining upon me and this was one of those instances. As silly as it sounds I felt like I rekindled a deep passion for Spanish upon lisetning to The Clash's Spanish Bombs
Writing in this Journal is very difficult. When I read over what I have written it seems overly profound to me so I go back and edit it, censor if you will. It is a fundamental principle in communication to know your audience and I am not certain I know who I am writing for right now.
I went and bought several books today.
I felt so inspired that I bought George Orwell's Homage to Catalonia. Amongst other things I bought an Oxford American English Writer's thesaurus. I would be using it now if I weren't in bed.
