I keep thinking about a collection of short stories I read once. I really really thought it was francesca lia block but I just reread Girl Goddess Number Nine and some of the stories I'm thinking of weren't in there. There was a story about someone watching a ballerina sitting on some stairs eating mushrooms and pulling the caps off first. One was about a mermaid at the ocean and maybe she was a girl in a wheelchair too? And one was about a girl who's mom liked to pair different kinds of ethnic foods together and tried to heal her husband's cancer with crystals. I really want to know what the book is, I want to read it again.
