[21] Blade Runner, Hunger Games, Stardust and friends
Oh gosh. This has been a REALLY challenging set. This is for my third attempt at IQ Chapter 02: Mentors.
1. I love kawaii-chicken's icons, so I wanted to have her as inspiration for this round. Only, of course, her icons are super gorgeous and super clean and with really interesting compositions. Composition work + Angela = HORRIBLE.
2. As I said, her icons are super clean. I should have made it a biiiit easier for me by looking for clean animation/anime caps, but noooo~ I had to use a live action film. And I could have chosen a film that has, like, maybe some blu-ray quality, crisp caps, but nooooo~ I have to use an older noir film like Blade Runner. OMG. Shoot me nao.
So really, I have no idea what got into me here. Predominantly-dark with harsh shadow live action film caps + crisp, clean lines and bright happy colors = BRAIN EXPLODE. Or probably more like, hand explode. I think I might have developed carpal tunnel overnight.
TL;DR It was a ~CHALLENGE~ choosing kawaii-chicken of absolucion as my inspiration for this quest, and I am so sorry it doesn't really seem anywhere close enough to the quality of her work D: However, I have learned a lot of things this round, and for that I'm pleased~
