Tales from a tube strike
1. Bus driver refuses to start bus when people get on in the exit. Cue passenger rebellion: "We pay your wages!" "Some of us are trying to get to work!" and my favourite "I'm just playing the cards I was dealt, lady"
2. Old lady outside Liverpool St says "Is there something wrong with the tube?"
3. Small fracas. Businessman dropping briefcase, getting pushed into a bus, turning around and angrily pushing other commuters.
4. Smug cyclists satisfied expressions, I can't blame them.
5. Taking two and a half hours to get to work this morning; a journey that usually takes 25 minutes.
6. And finding out, afterward, that the Victoria Line was working fine all along.
