Offset the bills

Further to last week's post- it has been revealed that The American Family Association, an influential right wing Christian group, was largely responsible for the Heinz 'gay kiss' advert being withdrawn.

Other cynical news includes the 'shock, horror' revelation that British and American oil companies are being given exclusive access to Iraq's plentiful oilfields. The first resources war, people, of many.

Susie, Alex and I have set up shop in Stoke Newington; a very lovely house with a ramshackle garden in need of love. Tonight is the first Hearst Digital football match; I have my number 4 shirt packed with my name on the back; I'm excited. I picked up a nasty injury in a match a month ago which had me hobbling around for a week. I only just managed jogging properly again last week.

I was invited by participating members of the Fleet exhibition to provide a live soundbed for thursday's private view- and I've arranged so Luke, Katie and myself will be improvising for 2 hours with an array of synths, drum machines and guitars. It'll be the first time I've picked up an instrument this year, but we're all well versed in improv and experimentation so it should be a treat. Especially as the organisers would prefer it as left-field and avant garde as possible. Well, that's just how we roll.

The second series of The Wire is very good, isn't it?
