If someone close to you lied to you, you caught them and tried to confront them about it, but they turned it around and tried to convince you you were wrong about it when you KNEW you were right, what would you do?

Archetypical situation.

Generally, the way I usually find these situations end is when one party says a good, loud, and hearty "F*** you" to the other and then leaves the situation entirely, putting everything behind them. It's that damaging.

However, if it's an immediate blood relative, disowning is just too tough. Forgiveness is the best idea if that is the case...but only if it's blood.
