I’ve decided that I need a space to share some of my favourite Harry Potter fan works. Hopefully, this will also help someone who is looking for some good times. If you enjoyed or found any of these works because of my post, let me know :)

This post will focus on some my favourite entries form this year's Snarry-A-Thon12.
Each of the summaries were written by the author.

Title: The Meanest Flower
Author:emynn
Main pairing: Harry/Severus
Length: 16,963 words
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: (highlight for spoilers) *EWE, serious illness*
Summary: Severus has always been Harry's protector, and Harry has needed plenty of protecting over the years. But when Harry comes down with a life-threatening illness, Severus is suddenly out of his league. The odds are against them, but that doesn't matter. As always, Severus would do whatever it takes to save Harry.
Why this is a good read: I loved the portrayal of Severus. His overprotectiveness of Harry is done to perfection. Severus isn't worrying for the sake of worrying but because he truly fears loosing his husband...and after loosing so many people in his life it simply terrifies him. I found myself worrying alongside Severus and wondering if Harry was going to survive. That's the sign of a good story: one where I am engaged with the characters.

Title: That Which Makes Us Weep
Author:roozette
Main pairing:Harry/Severus
Length: 19,224 words
Rating:PG-13
Warnings: (highlight for spoilers) *minor character death*
Summary: After the war the Wizarding World looks to Harry to give them hope. So he does. And Love, Joy, Grief, Understanding, Pain, Courage, and Strength. He makes his living giving pieces of his emotions to the world and is happy to do so, in fact. Until Severus Snape contacts him one day and asks for Redemption.
Why this is a good read: Following Harry and Severus in their old age was such a treat. I haven't often read stories where Harry is so simply happy to be alive and to be with his family. There was such warmth surrounding him from worrying children to loving grandchildren. The author's exploration of what redemption means for Severus is just beautiful to read. Everything works together.

Title: Potter's Keeper
Author:deirdre_aithne
Main pairing:Harry/Severus
Length: 9,904 words
Rating:PG-13
Warnings: (highlight for spoilers) *non-magic AU, off screen use of drugs, mention of past character's suicide *
Summary: Harry and Snape are neighbors. Harry has a boyfriend and both of them are into drugs. The boyfriend leaves him and in a fit of depression, Harry, without wanting to, overdoses. Snape (works as a writer at home) finds him because he hears some noise in the flat. Takes him to the hospital and then to his own flat. They fall in love.
Why this is a good read: I am a sucker for stories where relationships are well paced. Even though the story takes place during the span of a few days, the relationship between Harry and Severus never feels rushed.

Title: Love and (Cupcake) War
Author:emynn
Main pairing: Harry/Severus
Length: 17,800 words
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: (highlight for spoilers) *EWE*
Summary: Harry loves his cupcake shop. But when Severus opens his own cupcake shop right across the street, it's war ... and there's more than just professional pride at stake.
Why this is a good read: If you have a sweet tooth you will enjoy reading this story. Every cupcake recipe sounds mouth-watering. Here`s just an example: Chocolate cake with caramel filling, topped with caramel buttercream with brown sugar pecans, and then drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauce. Aside from the delicious goods, this story is fun. There are loads of romantic moments and some sad ones, but the snark, wit and competition makes the story a good time.

Title: In Time, Once Again
Author:avioleta
Main pairing: Harry/Severus
Length: 29,800 words
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: (highlight for spoilers) *underage (Harry is 16-18), teacher/student relationship*
Summary:After the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry uses a Time Turner in an attempt to rewrite history. However, something goes wrong, and he’s thrown back fourteen years into the past.
Why this is a good read: Well written time traveling is hard to find and this story is definitely gorgeous in its complexity. No matter his age, Severus still feels like the Severus we know. The story starts off  with the snarky Severus shown to us in canon but we are left with a slightly changed Severus at the end. Each one of his encounters with time traveled Harry changed him and his relationship with Harry.

Title: The Traveler's Heart
Author:gigglinggigi
Main pairing: Harry/Severus
Length: 16,963 words
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: (highlight for spoilers) *character death, hint of BDSM, hint of torture*
Summary: Sometimes you don't need a mirror to look into your own eyes.
Why this is a good read: This story was based on my prompt and I am so happy to have seen it written. I can't write worth nothing and to see my prompt because something means so much to me. Why love this story? It's simply difficult not to love it! T All the care put into every character and every moment make the story beautiful. It's a bitter sweet story that resonated with me long after I had finished reading it.
