Writer's Block: AIDS Awareness
Two family members, that I know of, have died from AIDS. My cousin Steven and a might-as-well-be-family friend Stella. I never really got to know Steven, but he was the only openly gay member of my family that I know of and I give him credit for that considering our strongly opinionated Italian family. Stella was an amazing woman who was always a good time and the best person to stick around during large family gatherings when you didn't know anyone's name.
