I'm kind of bored. I don't really have anything to do at the moment. Things I could do, but nothing pressing so I'll put it off a little. Not to mention I've had a headache on and off since yesterday afternoon, and I rarely get headaches. I think it's because I haven't been drinking enough water..
If you could invent one thing and make it a reality, what would it be? Why?
A money tree that produces actual legal currency? I'm not really an inventor. Sometimes when I'm driving though, I wish the accelerator was a button on the steering wheel instead of a pedal. Too many video games, perhaps. But sometimes you can't use cruise control, and you've been driving for a while and you just want to give your foot a break... thats when I want a button accelerator.
What is the biggest time-waster you run into during the day?
I'm pretty sure I'm a big time waster. Stumbleupon does some damage some days. Something tells me this is more like a what do you have to do during your day is a big time waster question. So I guess going to the bathroom can put a kink in things sometimes.
Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in only six words. His response? “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” He is believed to have called it his greatest literary work ever. Can you write a story in six words?
That seems more like an advertisement than a story. Haha, I can write a story in three words. "Babette ate oatmeal"
Ok, so I didn't really write that and jacked it from Gilmore Girls but whatever. I have a very itchy rash. There's a story for you.
What indulgence could you not give up, regardless of the economic climate?
Well I guess driving is kind of an indulgence... although I really only drive where I have to. I want to mail something but I'm just going to wait until I'm out tomorrow so I don't have to make two trips. I don't know if I really indulge in anything right now, and it will definitely be minimalism starting next month!
While India's Independence Day is often celebrated with kites, the US celebrated with fireworks. How does each methods reflect its culture?
Well to be honest, I don't know anything about India's Independence Day. But eating, drinking, and blowing shit up is pretty much America.
If you could create a hybrid of any two fruits in the world, what would they be and why? Describe this new fruit (its name, taste, color, ect.)
When I saw this question the other day, the first thing that came to mind was a banana-kiwi hybrid. I don't know why. I think I'm really just imagining a fruit salad in my head. I don't think a kiwi and a banana could be combined very well. Maybe a kiwi shaped like a banana in a banana peel? That would be so bizarre. I would just rather take them separate and eat them together, not hybrid them.
Why did you choose your user name? Is there any special meaning or story behind it?
Didn't I answer this last time. evenerual=laureneve
What are some inexpensive ways you relax when you’re off-the-clock?
I guess I'm always off the clock. I watch tv, play video games, go online, very occasionally read. But all of those sort of do cost something. I miss just hanging out with people though.
What would you change about your country if you could be in charge for a day?
Universal healthcare
What's the most romantic thing you have done for someone?
uhhh i don't know.
Care to reminisce about some favorite (or not so favorite) summer memories?
This summer has been both incredible slow and incredible fast. But let's see
Forth of July camping, my grad party for sure. Jill's party. Security at the fair. Family time.
Not so favorite would probably involve anything death or accident related, which there has been a lot of. But it all plays a part.
In regards to your professional life, how do you measure success?
Finishing what is started and making some kind of positive change, even if it's small. Being happy with my own decisions (even if it takes me forever to make them).
If you could pick any TV show that has been off the air to come back for one more season, which show would you pick and why?
I started watching some episodes of Daria today. I'm more partial to animated series coming back rather than ones with real people. Usually those shows outstay their welcome. Or when you go back and watch them years later you wonder how the hell you ever watched it to begin with.
