CHARACTER:
Name: Kaworu Nagisa
Age: 15
Series: Neon Genesis Evangelion: Gakuen Datenroku
Species: Artificially created 'child'.
Gender: Male
Occupation: High School Student who secretly uses his Evangelion powers to fight threats.
Point of canon to be drawn in: Chapter 9, after he listens to a conversation between Rei and Shinji.
Preferred level: Terra, roommates with Naota Nandaba. (I have the player's permission.)

Appearance: Kaworu's appearance is considerably unusual: white hair with a somewhat messy haircut (a small piece of rebellious hair sticking out from the top of his head) and bright red, almond-shaped eyes. His facial features are delicate, jovial and, perhaps, a bit feminine, with a small nose and a soft smile. He's usually seen wearing either his school uniform or covered with a comfortable turtleneck jacket. He doesn't quite know what are the most appropriate things to wear, so he mostly just follows whatever he thinks is popular amongst other young boys.

Personality: A person's first impression of Kaworu is that he is a well-educated, quiet and reserved young man. He's mostly seen with a kind smile on his face, keeping most of his words and thoughts to himself - so it becomes obvious that there's a lot of mystery to him. He's genuinely curious and somewhat naive when it comes to human customs and socialization skills, though, despite being very wise about more logical matters (and therefore an excellent student), so he'll be the first to lend an ear to someone he feels needs him.

It's not easy to impress, surprise or shock Kaworu, though you may find him easy to confuse, (whether its genuine or not will most definitely remain ambiguous, however).

Because of the loneliness and alienation he experienced during most of his life, Kaworu finds it hard to connect with most people, so he probably feel awkward when randomly approached. The only people he had a connection with were the other so called 'Children', especially Rei and Shinji. He is considerably philosophical about many things, so he will allow him thoughts to drift for a while, either analyzing people he knows, humans in general, the things that he does and what he does them for, etc. He has no regrets about fighting and putting his life on the line, though - it was something he chose for himself and does not fear to do, because it is for the greater good.

He also likes to play online games, and is apparently well-known for his exceptional skills, using 'Tabris' as an alias.

Abilities: He possesses an "eva", data containing powers that is written onto one's body and conscience and manifests in the form of a physical weapon. Kaworu's eva has the shape of a
sword.

History: Kaworu's past is very obscure, though it is revealed that he is the result of an artificial human creation project, developed to take part in the 'eva' project, to protect the world and humans in it from entities referred to as Angels. Having spent most of his life secluded in a top-secret facility, Kaworu's only friend (or the one person he remembers having been kind to him during his 'childhood') was a child around his age, who, apparently, was in an identical situation as the silver-haired boy.

Kaworu's identity was kept a secret for many years, fighting alongside Rei and Asuka (who, besides Shinji, seems to be the only 'Child' who has parents and is entirely human) against the threats, until the one night he and Rei were seen by the young Shinji Ikari running away from (or after) something. The very next day, Kaworu was transferred to Shinji's, Rei's and Asuka's school so that he could be closer to his colleagues and approach Ikari. He immediately asks the brunet to show him around school for no apparent reason, later expressing that he is, indeed, interested in knowing Shinji.

At night and on that same day, Kaworu and Rei are seen together and are followed by Shinji, who then finds himself in the middle of a battle between them and an Angel called Ramiel. The next day, Kaworu awaits for Rei to bring Shinji to their Headquarters to explain everything going on and to inform him that he has now become involved.

As the story progresses, Shinji eventually agrees to become a part of the team. Danger remains silent (but is slowly building up) as Kaworu tries to strengthen his relationship with Ikari.

During one afternoon, Shinji is walking with Rei when they suddenly feel a mysterious earthquake. Shinji quickly throws his arms around the girl to protect her, and after they're done, Shinji confesses that he wishes to be genuinely a part of their group.

Kaworu, listening a bit far away behind a wall, smiles and walks away.

And then he finds himself in some place completely different.

False memories: Kaworu knows he is an artificially created human and is fully aware of the eva data in him, which he still uses to fight against potential threats every now and then- though he tries his hardest to hide his identity during these times and, as far as he knows, was abandoned by whatever organization was responsible for his birth when he was only a young child, so he is working only by himself. He has no real memories of his time spent in this organizations' facilities, however, except for a little boy with short, brown hair, dressed in identical garments as his own, patting his head.

Kaworu has grown up in an orphanage, never connecting with any of the other children, and started living in a small apartment made for students as soon as he could, sponsored by prestigious people who decided to take advantage of his potential, seeing how he was such an excellent student at every single subject.

One of the very few childhood friends of his is Naota Nandaba (who he calls 'Takkun' for short), who lived with his extremely irresponsible father. Tired of watching the one boy he had become friends with have to live in such a horrible household, Kaworu decided to ask for permission to take Takkun in and live with him, under the pretext that he would help the boy become a better student and lead a better life. As far as Takkun's father cares, though, his son has been out for a sleepover during the last couple of years.

And Kaworu still takes some time off his schedule to sit down and play the online game 'Apocalypse of Night'.
Sample role-playing post: Kaworu ran his fingers through his hair, brushing back his fringe with a deep breath, before looking down at the cellphone in his hand to check for more messages, re-adjusting the hoodie covering his head and shadowing his eyes. It was cold, that night, and he half-wished he had brought warmer clothes. He knew it was best to keep them at home, though. They would only get in the way if he needed to move fast.

That wasn't his biggest concern, though - he'd left Takkun sleeping in his room without saying a word and had sneaked out of the house for one of his nightly rounds (although he had been careful enough to leave a note on the kitchen counter, in case his roommate woke up in the middle of the night and needed to reach him through his cellphone somehow), checking the streets for any strange or potentially dangerous individuals. He had long decided to do this, for some reason, protecting those who couldn't defend themselves, ever since he had discovered this strange power encrypted in his body, manifesting itself as a sword on the palm of his hand.

He didn't do it for compensation. He did it for pure selflessness, for some odd reason, seeing that he had never been given many things he should be genuinely thankful for. Sure, living in a half-decent apartment and having all his expenses being paid by rich individuals and the prospect of studying in an University was an amazing blessing in this city, but there was no doubt that he was being helped to later give something in return. This was different.

He couldn't figure out why, though. He just felt he had been born to do it.
