(no subject)
Yay! I got the job I applied for at the City of Canning as an Information Officer, it looks like it will be a good job and the rate compared to retail is awesome - I get paid as much for a five day fortnight as I did working an eight day fort at SI. And I'm looking forward to not being broke - I used to bitch heaps about my crap wage, until I didn't get paid anymore, and then $15 an hour seemed great.
The pup has sort of settled down, I'm really enjoying the walking company and I have met all these people that live around me I didn't know because anyone outside comes over and says "Aww, isn't he so cute?!"
My going away party was monday, all the girls came along and it was really nice but sad. You come to realise just how little you have in common with people when you're not working with them everyday. I got a voucher for Myer's, which I am off to buy some sunnies as I broke my other pair.
Sportsfest this weekend. Should be fun. I hope.
My brother gets back from four months in Japan on Monday, the same day my Mum goes to Bali for 6 weeks. Hmmm, oh and I got to meet my Great Aunt Aileen on Saturday, she's not really my Aunt, but she's been friends with my family for 60 years or something. She came over from England with her daughter Jeanette, who was really cool. Jeanette is from the US and was really interesting; a definate kindred spirit. So it's been 7 days of comings and goings really.
Weird how you write it all out - and it makes you seem really busy, but in actual fact its like 80% sleeping and reading and 20% of actually being out bed. Sad but true.....
