Voting Independent does not a revolution make. The American Revolution was a separatist, or if you will, an independence movement. A revolution is the total upheaval of a government or ruling system and replacing it with another. A vote will not do this.

True revolution is violent, nasty, and brutish. The resulting new governments do not last long: they either fail or become repressive. However, it takes one generation to prove that wrong.

i wasnt really suggesting a true revolution, just a tweak, something that keeps our goverment intact and is accomplishable by the voters.

Who the fuck said anything about voting?

This is about the common man, I.E. the middle and lower classes rising up against the self-serving Oligarchy that has formed in the last 170 years. Returning the government to its' original intention which is to serve the people, not be serviced by the people.

the middle class has nothing in common with the working class. and the government's original intention--serving those with property and money--is something i hope isn't virtued.
