Hello Droogs,
I wanted to touch base on something I watched recently, ironically it arrived in the mail on Christmas Eve (those of you who have seen the movie get the irony!). It's a movie called 'Zeitgeist' that many of you are aware of - it's floating all over the intaweb and you can watch the full version on their website -
http://zeitgeistmovie.com I decided to order the movie on DVD, heck it was only $5! I finally sat down and watched it last night until 4:00 am and wow was it ever interesting! Conspiracy theories, the true origins of Christ and religion, how humanity is nothing more than a slave race ruled by an elite select few... what a Christmasy movie! Seriously though, even if you don't believe any of the content within the movie, the message is still loud and clear, THINK. It's imperative that we mull things over, ask questions and think independantly. It's really the only freedom we have.
*** Spoilers ***
The end of the movie had a very gloomy feeling that we humans will slowly sink into our cages and accept total and utter global control under one government where we will have microchips placed in us. I don't agree with this in the least. We humans may be slow and preoccupied with our technologies and entertainment, but we are still violent, unpredictable and emotional. Will there always be a level of control? Sure, that's to be expected, but we won't be tagged and caged like animals. Look at all the conflict and anger in the Middle East, people can not be controlled and are naturally prone to push back. We are Cavemen, plain and simple. You can give us alcohol, drugs, entertainment and make us docile, but when push comes to shove we will react.
I also really don't like the idea that all these men in the world sitting behind dark offices making back door x-file deals are leading the world. These men, although powerful and rich, are not godly or safe from any natural law this world has. They will still die and face judgement in the afterlife, their beautiful foreign properties are not safe from Hurricanes, Typhoons or their children safe from illness or disease. No matter how big and bad you think you are, life has a way of creeping up and flogging you in the back of the head with a pewter Reindeer (see last entry). I firmly believe that those of us who commit wickedness in this life will answer in the end for their actions.
Anyway, I've rambled on enough. Go watch the movie and tell me what you think!
