PotC was pure and undiluted delight [read: a two hour and twenty-four minute long orgasm]. Orli was ridiculously overshadowed by Johnny Depp, my original sex god, but WHO CARES? It's all beautiful pirates, all the time! I must sound blasphemous for not raving over Orli, but the poor boy was given a much more boring character, and his talents/experience don't rival JD's. Pure sex on a stick, but really, I was most entertained by him when he was imitating Jack.
Rave unto my talent fantastic: Commodore Whats-his-face was Steve from Coupling. I actually couldn't take him seriously, because I kept thinking about Steve and Meltyman. And the cursed pirate with the wooden eye was that kid from The Office, also on BBC America.
Jack reminded me of Spike at times. It's scary how much my mind is STILL comparing everything to BtVS.
Someone write me some Jack/Elizabeth from when they're marooned on the island together.

Beth Maclay, Tara's sister in the ep "Family" [which I re-watched earlier today, and cried when Buffy said, "You'll have to go through me,"] is played by Amy Adams, who was the chick with braces that Frank Abagnale Jr. almost marries in "Catch Me If You Can".
