WHAT: The show is about a British husband-and-wife comedy writing team who travel to Hollywood to remake their successful British TV series. Without choice they must cast Matt LeBlanc as himself, who not only damages their reputation and show, but their marriage too. Are you sure they have not been reading your LJ and taking notes??? every part of the episode, from the direction to the writing, is perfect.

I think part of this is because it aims for and nails every objective Joss intended to achieve - I haven't watched the episode in a long time, but I remember listening to the commentary and thinking of how complete it was as a self-contained story, a season finale, and series finale, with all their themes interlocking WE HAVE TO GO DEEPER-style. In a world where the show had to be cancelled I am also really happy that it was there.
