Things that totally make me feel better, after Journey's End.

1. Re-watching Catherine Tate and David Tennant on Jonathan Ross from earlier this summer. Choice quote:

JONATHAN: "How can you not love a little furry ball of fun to cuddle up with you?"
DAVID: "Stinking up your bed, leaving hairs everywhere? Come on!"
CATHERINE: "Well you don't have to sleep with men!"

Also, the added factor of RADIOHEAD BEING IN THE BACKGROUND. And John Hurt.

2. The Mighty Boosh Festival happened on Saturday and when they came onstage at the end, THEY ENTERED ON A GIANT SHIP. SINGING FUTURE SAILORS. (Which, btw, I am totally going to be for Halloween. I can use my pirate hat, my silver lamé leggings, and all I'll have to do is bedazzle an eyepatch and get a sailor suit-ish dress at a thrift shop. Footwear as yet undecided.)

3.

4. This picture, which can only mean that The Moon made some sort of Jarvis Cocker reference/joke. For a split second when I first saw it, I thought it was Jarvis done up as The Moon instead of Noel, but STILL. I need YouTube footage! Jarvis' DJ set was possibly what I was most excited for, besides the Boosh Band performance. I mean, I want Jarvis to DJ my life.

5. This Gonzo interview with the Boosh from a few weeks ago, talking about the Festival, in which the interviewer yet again brings up Flight of the Conchords and the Boosh tell us that ACTUALLY THEY ASKED THEM TO PLAY THE FESTIVAL (but they couldn't) and Noel talks about texting Jemaine and REFERS TO HIM AS J-DOG. I would transcribe all of the brilliance, but it's TOO MUCH. For now at least.

6. And finally, my favourite thing ever, the thing that made me KNOW I'd love Donna: "BITE ME ALIEN BOI!"

ETA: You know what else makes me feel better? Blur's Moroccan Peoples Revolutionary Bowls Club. I haven't listened to it for at least a few months and I swear, this is the cheeriest song about climate change I've ever heard. I JUST WANNA DANCE! (There's a reason that song title's been the subtitle for my journal since, well, Think Tank came out.)

EATA: Battery In Your Leg, however, does not help anyone feel better at ANY TIME and yet I can never stop myself from listening to it and Graham Coxon's beautiful exploding guitar.

Sigh.
