Welcome to New New York...where everyone speaks in a UK dialect except for the holograms.
I don't think they realised the hilarity they implied when one of the destinations were the farmlands of Brooklyn, and Fire Island: the best place for children to grow up. Or maybe they did.
"I love that coat. Janis Joplin gave me that coat." <---♥♥♥ (Who else wants the story behind that!?!?)
Ten and kittens! OVERLOAD ON BRAIN!
Carjacker guy superficially reminded me of Alex Karev, heh.
I loved how Bliss killed the whole city. It actually kind of reminded me of Pax in Serenity.
You know how I am with dystopian futures. I love 'em. But I love them to be dark and gritty and bleak, and Doctor Who always has that bit of grandeur and camp and flash that doesn't really merge with that. Though for some reason, I am kind of in love with Pinstripe-Suited Bowler Hat man, and want him to come back, sometime.
Face of Bo(e): "You are not alone." Yeah, we saw it coming, but god, the look on Ten's face. And I just loved Martha sitting down until he told her the truth, or anything. (I was going to point it out last week: Ten is such a guy. Oblivious and...infuriating.) I love that Martha's the one that's going to do that, and point out that um, hi, why are you taking me to the same places you've been with Rose? Rebound much? And that she got the idea to turn off all power in the car from...a submarine movie. Oh, humanity.
I didn't have as much outright enjoyment of the episode as I did last week, which is strange because usually for me Episodes With Lots of Prosthetics < Episodes With Mostly Humans, but probably just because last week was just so outrageously funny with the oneliners. And probably because I have so much expectations and imagination with dystopias. But it was a great episode nonetheless and I'll probably love it more when I can rewatch and don't have to keep the volume down as to throw off curious flatmates. ;)
And, next week: really bad accents! Like really bad.
